We're in France
We arrived tired and jetlagged on Tuesday, but all of our luggage arrived intact and it was great connecting with Bridgitte and Jean-Marc and Cedric and Julien. The weather has been typical, if warm for Paris, rainy and overcast with a few occasions of sun. We're still getting used to the sleeping schedule, moving from 2 hours on the plane Monday (night?) to 14 hours Tuesday to a fitful sleep last night. The food has been an easy adjustment and we're looking forward to our arrival in Villelongue tonight!
From Johann: It's still raining outside and it's cold. But we are playing soccer outside. I ate yogurt and orange juice for breakfast. We were playing in the park. There were rocks and sand and it looked like Narnia.

Janet, Chris, Johann, and Karl,
Hello and Happy New Year! It's good to know that you arrived in France safely! Your adventure has begun. I will keep checking to read about your escapades. :-)
I went to the doctor on Thursday, Janet. The x-ray showed that my leg is healing but was not where they'd hoped it would be. I have another cast on until 1/19, then more x-rays to see if it has healed enough for me to do PT and return to work. Will send an email when we get back from Smith's class on Thursday.
Love to all,
Janine
Hi Johann, Karl, Janet, and Chris,
It's great to hear of your safe arrival. Boys and girls (and staff) have been asking about all of you. I was so excited on Saturday to open your blog and read your new entry.
We are busy getting the second semester started. Mr. Wenger had an emergency appendectomy on New Year's Eve. It is getting colder here.... might see snow today.
Will be looking for more info from you.
Blessings,
Miss Glime
Hi Janet and Sauer family! I've been thinking about you all this past week and hoping that you made the trip safe and sound.
I'm looking forward to hearing more about your exciting adventures in France! All is well here. We're entering the rainy season here in Honolulu, so there are some flash flood warnings out for the next few days.
Happy New Year to you all!
Jill
